Loki is beyond reason, but he is still my brother.
AVENGERS SPOILERS
Weirdly, I think my favorite line of Thor’s in the entire film is what he yells at Loki in the first gif here about “LOKI, TURN OFF THE TESSERACT”. It’s the way he says it. It sounds like he’s going to follow it up with “IF YOU DON’T STOP THIS, FATHER WILL SEE TO IT THAT YOU HAVE NO SUPPER TONIGHT. HE WILL SEND YOU TO YOUR ROOM UNTIL YOU HAVE LEARNED YOUR MANNERS. HE WILL GROUND YOU, BROTHER!!” It’s just this exasperated, older-brother Put That Shit Down rather than the “—BECAUSE YOU’RE A PSYCHOPATH” that any of the other avengers would have used, and it’s kind of heartwarming and sad and cracks my shit up all at the same time.
